I wrote a rough draft on paper for this entry and I meant to post it two weeks ago, but I lost the paper. Rough drafts are stupid, anyway.
So, I, along with Omar(the bf), and Dali(bf's sis), took a much awaited trip to the city of brotherly love. We had the best time with my sumo wrestler of a cousin, Brian. He's not actually fat, but his eyes and appetite are sumo-worthy.
We kicked off the trip with-what else- Philly Cheesesteaks! And in Philly, they're just called Cheesesteaks, and traditionally, you get one covered in the whiz, aka Cheez Whiz. Throw on optional onions, mushrooms, or peppers, and pile everything onto a soft "hoagie" and you're in cheesy, meaty heaven.
After lunch, we went to Redding Terminal, which is Philly's equivalent of a Chelsea Market. I had a huge ice cream cone, with the most buttery, creamy ice cream ever. Even though we had just eaten, Omar and Brian considered sharing a delicous roasted pork sandwich. Unfortunately, it was a Sunday and that vendor closed early.
With Brian as our guide, we explored the beautiful city, and visited several American landmarks, such as the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and the Rocky steps. Brian was careful to keep us away from the "unsafe" neighborhoods of Philly, and we enjoyed our visit so much, we even considered possibly moving there.
