Isn't that depressing?
My highlights were this:
- The inauguration of the first black president
- Obed's(Omar's little brother) fascination with squirrels and big buildings on his first visit from the Dominican Republic
...and that's about it. In my personal life, the only thing that stands out as a great moment to me would be finding out I got a $1000 scholarship for culinary school. I'm ashamed to admit that.
So, now that 2009 is over, I'm starting off on the right foot. My goal is to have so many exciting things happen to me this year that I won't know where to start when the year ends.
This is why I am beginning today and this year with a nice, strong cup of Cafe Bustelo coffee. If you want to get many things done, and give birth to your best ideas, you need to have yourself some Bustelo.
I need to clean my apartment, shop for new furniture, repaint my door frames, make some homemade sausages and other items for my brunch party tomorrow, and and and other things which my precaffeinated mind cannot think of right now. Coffee, here I come!
